- Software Licenses for MX Series Routers, SKU definition S-MX-nCm-A1/P1-1/3/5/7/P: "nCm - bandwidth (B) in nCm format", where "‘n’ = number of 100G units" and "‘m’ = number of 10G units". Feature IDs 315 and 316 are "Advanced Bandwidth (in gbps) - MX" and "Premium Bandwidth (in gbps) - MX", from 10G to 9600G.
- Counting rules
- Bandwidth licences are bought per line card or chassis as full bandwidth SKUs, or in Scale on Demand increments (S-MX-1C, S-MX-1X, S-MX-4C-...-D). Junos OS raises alarms when bandwidth in use exceeds the installed licence. Legacy vSRX throughput licences (100M to 20G) may be stacked on one instance but not split across instances.
- Floors / minimums
- Scale on Demand: some hardware requires a minimum amount of software; increased capacity must be bought within 90 days of use.
