- MLSA Definitions: "“User” means an individual authorized by Customer to use the Products pursuant to a subscription of the applicable Products purchased (as indicated in the applicable Imprivata Order Form or its equivalent if purchasing through an authorized reseller) that has been procured." Users may include employees, consultants, clients, external users, contractors, agents and third parties of the Customer and its Affiliates.

- One subscription per authorized individual; the quantity must follow the Product Specific Terms. The predecessor EULA defined User as a named individual and required "a separate license" for each user "regardless of whether the user is actively using the Software at any given time (i.e. the Software is not licensed on a concurrent user basis)". Affiliate usage is included when measuring compliance.
