Endpoint Count; per 1,000 Endpoints
Definition
Product License Guide s.1: "'Endpoint' means any physical or virtual addressable device, including but not limited to, a computer, server, laptop, tablet, mobile phone, network switch, network router, PLC, container or virtual machine image which connects to the Customer Environment directly or through specific gateways."
Counting rules
Forescout Products, including Solution Bundles, are licensed per 1,000 Endpoints. An Endpoint counts against the Endpoint Count of an Entitlement once it is known to the Forescout Platform by MAC address, IP address or other unique identifier, whether on site, off site, detected through third-party integrations, or included in the scope of a policy that uses properties or actions provided by third-party integrations. The Endpoint Count is "the maximum number of unique Endpoints to be monitored by the Product, as specified in the Entitlement".
Floors / minimums
SKUs are sold in blocks of 1,000 Endpoints (e.g. FS-CORE-1000-1Y-TBL). Subscoping (buying for only part of the Customer Environment) is not available for Solution Bundles, Support Services, Product-Related Services or eyeAlert, and otherwise only at Forescout's discretion.
