- Definition
- KB2667: "One seat is required per operating system." Terms of Use E.2 grants a License "for the number of devices (e.g., computer, server, mobile device, or tablet) covered by your Subscription"; ESET PROTECT Hub calls each activated seat a subscription unit ("Each active subscription represents one ESET solution activated for an asset").
- Counting rules
- Count one seat for each operating system instance (workstation, server, mobile device, virtual machine) on which an ESET application is activated. VDI: seats equal the maximum number of VMs running concurrently. Terminal servers: one ESET Server Security seat per server instance. Released units stop counting but the solution stops receiving updates. ESET PROTECT Hub marks subscriptions "Close to overuse" above 90% and "Overused" above 100%.
- Floors / minimums
