- Definition
- Units of Measurement: a "Zone" is "an instance configured in the Cloudflare Services dashboard which has a unique zone ID assigned to it". In general a zone is associated with one registrable domain and includes all of its child subdomains, unless a subdomain needs different performance or security settings and is given its own zone ID.
- Counting rules
- Count unique zone IDs in the account. Zones must be associated with Domains owned by the Customer unless Cloudflare authorizes otherwise in writing; customers may not configure zones for their end customers' domains (that use case is served by custom hostnames).
