- The individual installation of Altium software running on a PC. The number of seats associated with a software licence is set when the licence is purchased, and each seat must have access to a valid licence.
- Counting rules
- On-Demand and Private Server licences lease a seat only while the software is in use; each instance of Altium Designer on one machine keeps its own seat. A Standalone licence shows 1/1 seats once activated. Seat counts and usage are shown in the License Management view and the Company Dashboard.
- Floors / minimums
- The number of seats is fixed when the licence is purchased; more seats can be added in the Dashboard.
