UiPath Unified Pricing is the newer of UiPath’s two commercial licensing plans. According to UiPath, it “Simplifies multiple consumables from the Flex Plan into a streamlined, unified Platform Unit consumable”, which can be reallocated between services if plans change, and it records consumption “at a more granular level”.[4] The Licensing Policy states that Unified Pricing SKUs “provide entitlements to deploy and license the product in Automation Cloud or Automation Suite”, and that the plan includes access to 100 Express User licences.[1] A purchase therefore has four layers: a platform tier, user licences, robot licences and Platform Units. Catalog: Unified Pricing plan.

Plans in Automation Cloud
The Automation Cloud documentation lists seven Unified Pricing plans.[2]
| Plan | Tenants | Users included | Robots included | Platform Units |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 1 | 25 Express; no Basic, Plus or Pro | none | N/A |
| Basic Trial | 1 | 25 Express; 1 each Basic, Plus, Pro | 1 Unattended | N/A |
| Basic | 1 | 25 Express; Basic and Plus up to 5, Pro up to 1 | Unattended up to 2 | N/A |
| Standard Trial | Unlimited | 25 Express; 2 each Basic, Plus, Pro | 2 Unattended, 2 Automation Test | 8,000 included |
| Standard | Unlimited | 100 Express; others as purchased | As purchased | As purchased |
| Enterprise | Unlimited | 100 Express; others as purchased | As purchased | As purchased |
The plans also differ in platform features. Single sign-on, custom roles and standard audit begin with Standard Trial; external credential stores, customer-managed keys, Elastic Robot Orchestration, canary tenants and advanced audit are Enterprise-only. Free, Basic Trial and Basic are hosted in the EU only, Standard lets the customer choose one region, and Enterprise allows a region per tenant.[2] The public pricing page lists Basic as “Starting at $25 per month” with Unattended RPA as an add-on, and Standard and Enterprise at prices set by sales.[8] Catalog: Automation Cloud Basic plan.
The Free plan cannot be chosen at sign-up. An organization moves to it when its trial or paid plan expires, and it may be used for commercial purposes.[2] Trials last 60 days and are for “internal non-production purposes, such as evaluation and testing”.[2] Moving from Basic Trial to Basic or to Standard Trial is self-service; any move to Standard or Enterprise goes through a UiPath representative.[9]
Platform tiers
The two purchasable platform SKUs set the capabilities and allowances for the whole organization.[1]
| SKU | Notable inclusions | Instances |
|---|---|---|
| UiPath - Uni - Platform - Standard | Orchestrator, Automation Hub, Insights (2 years retention), Maestro Orchestrate and Automate, Test Manager, AI Trust Layer; 25,000 Semantic Selectors per month; 10,000 Maestro Automate executions per month | 1 production instance on cloud (and 1 on premises on request); up to 3 non-production instances per on-prem production instance; HAA Active/Passive |
| UiPath - Uni - Platform - Enterprise | Adds Customer Managed Keys, External Credential Store, Elastic Robot Orchestration, Private Link; Healing Agent 5,000 heals per year; ScreenPlay 50,000 runs per year; 100,000 Semantic Selectors and 50,000 Maestro Automate executions per month | Up to 3 production instances on cloud (and up to 3 on prem on request); HAA Active/Active |
Allowances above the included heals or ScreenPlay runs are paid in Platform Units.[1]
Metrics
User tiers
Every Unified Pricing user SKU “Requires UiPath - Uni - Platform - Standard or UiPath - Uni - Platform - Enterprise” and requires User License Management to be enabled.[1]
- Basic User (SKU). Minimum quantity of 5 per transaction. A Basic user “Can only publish RPA automations to their Personal Workspace”, “Can only run automations developed by Plus User”, can build only single-file RPA and API automations in Studio and can develop only personal API Workflows. Includes the base Agentic Usage Pool.[1]
- Plus User (SKU). Adds Test Manager access; Agentic Usage Pool 7.5 times the Basic pool.[1]
- Pro User (SKU). The developer tier, adding Process Mining Developer; Agentic Usage Pool 20 times the Basic pool.[1]
- Express User. Free, for Autopilot for Everyone, Studio Web, Integration Service and limited serverless use. Express licences may be used in production but are “strictly limited to individual or personal use”.[1]
In Orchestrator, unlicensed and Express users can have one active published project, while Basic, Plus and Pro users have unlimited projects; Basic users can execute only automations built by Plus users with StudioX.[7] With User License Management, administrators assign licences to users or to groups, and group licences are taken by members “on a first-come-first-served basis”.[10] Catalog proof: Express User and Automation Express licences are for individual use only; Uni Basic Named User has a minimum of five licences per transaction.
Robot SKUs
UiPath - Uni - Unattended Robot and UiPath - Uni - Automation Test Robot both require a Uni platform tier. The Automation Test Robot “Cannot be used for Application Testing purposes”; Test Cloud sells App Test Robots in packs of five instead.[1] Runtime counting is described in UiPath robots, Orchestrator and on-premises licensing.
Platform Units
A Platform Unit is the Unified Pricing consumable. “As you perform specific operations within these services, you consume Platform Units. When you run out of Platform Units, you can no longer perform those operations.”[3] Units are sold as the Platform Unit Bundle - 1K, 1,000 units each, with a minimum initial purchase of 10 bundles.[1]
Selected standard consumption rates from the Licensing Policy and the Overview guide are below. UiPath notes that standard rates “may not reflect your organization’s contracted rates”.[3]
| Capability | Meter | Standard rate (Platform Units) |
|---|---|---|
| Agents, standard model | Per LLM call (64k input-token increments) | 0.2; basic model 0.16; premium model 0.4[6] |
| Agents, customer-managed model | Per agent run | 0.2[6] |
| Conversational Agent | Per message | 0.2 (Standard); 0.16 (Basic)[3] |
| Document Understanding, IXP | Per page | 0.2[3] |
| Healing Agent | Per heal | 3[1] |
| Maestro Orchestrate | Per instance orchestrated | 1[1] |
| Maestro Automate, API Workflows | Per workflow execution | 0.05[1] |
| Serverless robot, production, small (1 GB) | Per runtime minute | 0.2[1] |
| Automation Cloud Robot VM, production, small | Per VM deployed per month | 1,000[1] |
| External Apps | Per 500 anonymous users per month | 100[1] |
| Process Mining | Per 125 rows of data, after an initial charge for 1M rows | 0.2[1] |
Counting / floors
One pool. The Licensing Policy makes all Platform Unit-based SKUs “fully fungible and treated as a single pooled balance (the ‘Unified Unit Pool’)”. A capability may be consumed from the pool if the customer has an active subscription to the SKU that entitles it.[1] Catalog proof: All Platform Unit-based SKUs form one fungible Unified Unit Pool.
Expiry. Platform Unit entitlements “expire at the end of the respective license term and they are proratable”. On terms longer than a year they are “delivered on a yearly basis”, with expiry calculated back from the end date in 12-month steps; a fractional first period expires first.[1] Unused units therefore do not carry into the next contract year. Catalog proof: Consumption units expire at term end and are issued yearly on multi-year terms.
Enforcement. Units can be allocated to tenants or folders, but allocation is not required: without it, consumption draws on the organization pool. Enterprise organizations may overconsume at organization level; trial and Community organizations may not; a tenant or folder limit stops consumption at that level, “a small quantity of overconsumption” aside to finish running automations. Expired units allow no consumption.[3] Catalog proof: Enterprise organizations may overconsume units at org level; trial and Community may not.
Fair use. Execution-based pricing for Maestro Orchestrate, Maestro Automate and Agents assumes a reasonable volume of API calls. Where usage is excessive, “UiPath may, at its discretion, meter or throttle such usage, apply additional charges, or suspend the affected automation”.[1] Catalog proof: Execution-based pricing assumes proportionate API call volumes.
AI and Agentic usage pool
Each eligible user licence carries a monthly AI and Agentic usage pool shared by Autopilot, Delegate, Cartographer, Agent Development, ScreenPlay Development, Conversational Agents and Autopilot for Everyone. It replaced per-product AI entitlements, which “are deprecated and no longer granted”.[5] The pool sizes follow the user tier: Plus 7.5 times and Pro 20 times the Basic pool.[1]
Usage draws first from the monthly limit, then from administrator top-ups, then from paid units. On Unified Pricing a top-up is “a fixed pack of 50 Platform Units”; unused top-ups persist across resets. When the monthly limit and top-ups are spent, existing products fall back to Platform Units automatically, and the fallback cannot be switched off; Autopilot, Delegate and Cartographer pause instead.[5] “When a user holds more than one license, the highest-tier license governs the monthly limit.”[5] The pool requires User License Management. Catalog proof: The highest-tier user licence governs the AI and Agentic monthly limit.
Virtualization & partitioning
Platform Unit consumption depends on the size of UiPath-hosted compute, not on customer hardware. Serverless robots cost 2, 4 or 10 times the small rate on standard, medium and large machines, and Automation Cloud Robot VMs scale from 1,000 Platform Units per month (small, 2 CPU, 16 GB) to twice that (large, 16 CPU, 128 GB).[1] Customer-run machines are licensed by runtime, as described in the robots article.
Cloud / BYOL
Unified Pricing deploys to Automation Cloud or Automation Suite; Windows-installed Orchestrator is allowed only where neither is possible, and the same product licence may not run in two environments at once except during a three-month migration window once per term.[1] Customers can bring their own LLM subscription from the Standard Trial plan upwards, and reduced Platform Unit rates apply to eligible products used with customer-managed models.[2][3] Catalog proof: Unified Pricing: Automation Cloud or Automation Suite, Windows-installed only if those are not possible.
Programs
Test Cloud uses parallel Unified Pricing SKUs: App Test Developer and App Tester (packs of five) users, App Test Robot packs, App Test Platform Standard and Enterprise, and Test Execution Units, one per test case or workflow executed, including in non-production environments.[1] The pricing page lists Test Cloud add-ons including Performance Testing at “$20K / 2,500 VUs”.[8] Moving from Flex to Unified Pricing is described in UiPath Flex plan licensing.
Out of scope
Vertical Platform Unit bundles (Financial Crimes, Lending, Merchandising, Inventory Management, Commercial Pricing) have their own minimum commitments and rates in the Licensing Policy and are not covered here.[1]
