  • Milestone Product Lifecycle. Milestone releases XProtect versions about three times a year and guarantees four years of availability: Limited Availability follows three months after a successor release, Discontinued comes three years after GA and Terminated four years after GA. [1][3]
  • Lifecycle stages. General Availability, Limited Availability, Discontinued and Terminated stages reduce sales, free support, service releases and hotfixes in turn; expansion sales run seven years and license activation ten years from GA of a version. [1]
