Releases and Lifecycle

BIG-IP software support policy. Major Releases get 15 months (9 months from 21.0.0) of Standard Support; each x.1.0 Long-Term Stability Release gets three to five years depending on version, after which the release reaches End of Software Development and End of Technical Support. [1]
BIG-IQ software support policy. Each BIG-IQ major or minor release has a Standard Support period from first customer ship to a published End of Software Development, which normally equals End of Technical Support. [4]
F5OS software lifecycle policy. F5OS platform software is released as Long Term Support versions (three years from first customer ship) and Short Term Support versions (about one year), with End of Software Development and End of Technical Support on the same date. [5]
NGINX Plus release model. Since 2026-05-13 NGINX Plus and NGINX Ingress Controller ship annual LTS releases supported for three years, plus a Continuous Release track where only the latest release is supported. [6][7]
NGINX Plus 24-month support (R-releases). For releases before PLS.37, F5 offers 24 months of technical support from the release date; critical fixes and security updates cover only the two most recent releases. [7]
NGINX software support policy. NGINX Support Services covers NGINX One Console, NGINX Plus, Ingress Controller, Instance Manager, F5 WAF for NGINX, Gateway Fabric and NGINXaaS for Azure, with a focus on the current release. [6]
BIG-IP SSL Orchestrator software support policy. SSL Orchestrator support follows the BIG-IP release it ships with, using the same Standard Support durations and End of Technical Support dates. [8]
F5 Container Ingress Services software lifecycle policy. Support for a Container Ingress Services version ends six months (short term) or twelve months (long term) after the release of the next major version. [9]
BIG-IP Next software support policy. BIG-IP Next used an annual Long Term Support model; F5 stopped development, and BIG-IP Next 20.3, the final version, reached end of life on 2025-04-30. [10]
