Consul Enterprise
Consul Enterprise is the licensed edition of Consul, HashiCorp's service networking software for service discovery and service mesh. It adds multi-tenancy through admin partitions and namespaces, read replicas, automated backups and upgrades, audit logging, OIDC authentication and FIPS 140-3 builds. It is self-managed, and IBM sells it in Standard and Premium license packages.

Lifecycle Policy
- Support Cycle-2 (SC2). From the April 2026 (2.x) releases, self-managed Enterprise products follow IBM SC2: 2 years of base support, 1 year of critical extended support and 3 years of sustained support without new fixes. [1][4]
- Long-Term Support (LTS). Before 2026 selected Enterprise releases (Vault 1.16 and 1.19, Consul from 1.15 to 1.21, Nomad up to 1.10) received LTS with longer fix eligibility; existing LTS versions keep their stated periods. [1][5][7]
