Ansys LS-DYNA
Ansys LS-DYNA is an explicit dynamics simulation program for the response of materials to short periods of severe loading. Typical uses include drop tests, impact and penetration, crash and occupant safety. It provides many element types, contact formulations and material models, supports multiphysics analyses, and runs in parallel for large models. The 2026 R1 release is described as adding battery thermal modeling and S-ALE meshing improvements.
