IP Application Accelerator
IP Application Accelerator, shown on Akamai's page as IP Accelerator, is an Akamai product for improving the performance, security and availability of non-cacheable, IP-based applications. It routes traffic over the SureRoute for IP overlay network, supports any TCP or UDP port and replicates packets across different paths to reduce loss. It does not cache content or terminate SSL, so encryption stays end to end, and it adds rate limiting and access controls.
