- Virtual appliance licences are tied to a unique appliance ID and activation code; the product licence is kept active by a one-hour token lease. After three hours of continuous licensing a six-hour grace period applies, extended to three days if Trellix determines the network cannot reach DTI. The token server detects duplicate virtual appliances, allowing brief overlap for migrations.
