Trellix sells endpoint, network, email and data security products and security operations tools, managed through ePolicy Orchestrator. Software is licensed under the Trellix End User License Agreement and product entitlement definitions, as subscription or perpetual licences with separate technical support agreements.

The Trellix End-User License Agreement, together with any applicable supplements, governs usage rights in Trellix software and cloud services.[1]
Trellix offers two main forms of licensing, subscription and perpetual; for both, a current Technical Support agreement is required to be entitled to product updates and upgrades, including engine and .DAT updates.[2]
Trellix License Management Services (LMS) validates customers' adherence to their EULA and support agreements through compliance reviews.[3]
Under the Software Deployment Verification programme, customers run ePolicy Orchestrator reporting and certify current usage, and a true-up follows if an overage is found.[4]
To keep using support features after the Agreements expire, customers must renew support and may be required to pay accrued out-of-compliance fees.[5]
