- Data policies: an ingest-based subscription governs data loaded per day (GMT). The daily index volume may be exceeded a maximum of five times in a calendar month; beyond that Splunk sales may require reduction or purchase of an increase, and excess usage that is not resolved is invoiced under the terms of service. Workload-based subscriptions do not meter ingestion.
