- FactoryTalk Activation Manager Help 5.01.00: borrowing needs a network connection; the borrowed activation expires after the borrow term and returns to the server pool automatically. A borrowed CodeMeter or FlexNet activation can only activate applications on the same machine. The factory-set maximum borrow time is in the activation file BORROW= statement (hours) and can be lowered, not raised, with MAX_BORROW_HOURS in the options file.
