- Core metadata specifications (metadata version 2.4, PEP 639): the License-Expression field holds an SPDX licence expression, and License-File lists licence files; License :: classifiers are deprecated. The expression applies only to the distribution archive (sdist or wheel) that contains it, not to the project overall or to other archives, so licence discovery must read the metadata of each installed distribution.
