- Status of Python versions: releases pass through feature, prerelease, bugfix, security and end-of-life phases. Bugfix releases (with binaries roughly every two months) run for two years from 3.13 onward (18 months for earlier versions); then only security fixes are accepted and no more binaries are released; five years after release support ends and the branch is frozen. As listed on 2026-09-27: 3.10 end of life 2026-10; 3.11 2027-10; 3.12 2028-10; 3.13 2029-10; 3.14 2030-10; 3.9 reached end of life on 2025-10-31.
