- Licence page: the MIT licence is compatible with the GNU GPL, so PuTTY or pieces of PuTTY can be incorporated into a GPL program. The PuTTY notice must still be retained; the combined work is then distributed under the GPL terms that govern the other code. SPDX records the MIT licence as FSF-libre and OSI-approved.
