- The PuTTY Licence contains no requirement to provide or offer source code and no requirement that derivative works be licensed under the same terms. Feedback B.10 summarizes the only prohibitions as removing the copyright notices or licence text and holding the developers legally responsible. A redistributor may therefore ship PuTTY or a modified build as binaries only, provided the notice travels with it. (Feedback page undated; as published on 2026-09-27)
