- GPL-3.0 section 5 (final paragraph): including a covered work in an "aggregate" of separate and independent works does not cause the GPL to apply to the other parts. The FSF FAQ adds that an aggregate may include nonfree programs, provided the aggregate licence does not restrict rights each program's licence grants. Notepad++ removed an earlier LICENSE statement (2020-08-27) that treated proprietary installers integrating Notepad++ as derivative works.
