- GPL-3.0 section 5: a conveyed modified version must carry prominent notices that it was modified, with a relevant date, and notices that it is released under the GPL; the entire work must be licensed as a whole under the GPL to anyone who receives a copy; interactive interfaces must display Appropriate Legal Notices. This is the copyleft scope: proprietary code combined into the same program cannot be distributed under different terms.
