- GPL-2.0 (June 1991) §3: object code or executable distribution is allowed only if the distributor (a) accompanies it with the complete corresponding machine-readable source code, (b) accompanies it with a written offer, valid for at least three years, to give any third party the source for no more than the cost of physically performing distribution, or (c) for noncommercial distribution only, passes on the offer received. §2(b): works containing or derived from the Program must be licensed as a whole at no charge to all third parties under the GPL.
