- GPL-3.0 §5: a conveyed modified work must carry prominent notices stating that it was modified with a relevant date, and the entire work must be licensed, as a whole, under the GPL to anyone who comes into possession of a copy. GPL-2.0 §2(b) states the equivalent copyleft condition.
