- Git Trademark Policy §2.2: the Marks may be used without prior written permission to refer to Git in substantially unmodified form (built from Git project source, possibly with minor changes such as default settings, translations, OS compatibility changes or bug-fix patches), to identify Git as a distinct component of an offering, and to refer factually to the Git Project.
