- The rights to an active EC2 Reserved Instance may be offered on the RI Marketplace only if more than one month of term remains and the upfront charge has been received and processed. Reserved Instances may not be bought for the purpose of reselling them, and RIs bought through a discount program need AWS approval before resale. Only Standard RIs can be bought or sold there.
