- A Reserved Instance is a billing discount applied to matching On-Demand usage; its price depends on instance type, Region, tenancy and platform. Terms are one year (31,536,000 seconds) or three years (94,608,000 seconds), with no automatic renewal, and payment All Upfront, Partial Upfront or No Upfront. A default-tenancy RI does not apply to dedicated-tenancy instances.
