- GNU LGPL 2.1 §0 (February 1999): activities other than copying, distribution and modification are outside the licence, and the act of running a program using the Library is not restricted. Internal installation and use of 7-Zip therefore triggers no source, notice or copyleft obligation; obligations attach to distribution and modification.
