- Subscriptions. A “Subscription” is a on-premise License type that includes a License for a term as specified in the product name, Quote, order agreement or other order documentation, and/or the invoice, and such License includes Support Services during such License Term at no additional fee.
- Commercial rules
- Licensing Basis: PTC does not have perpetual license models for most products; where perpetual licenses are sold with hosted components, PTC may discontinue the hosted components. News release 19 April 2017: effective 1 January 2018, new licenses for core solutions and ThingWorx available only by subscription in the Americas and Western Europe (Kepware excepted). Customer Agreement: Support Services come with a subscription order; if Support for perpetual licenses is discontinued it cannot be reactivated (buy new subscription licenses instead); partial Support orders or renewals are not permitted. Warranty for subscriptions runs for the subscription term.
