- If a paid account is downgraded to Free after a failed payment and exceeds Free limits, it enters a delinquent restricted state.
- Commercial rules
- Storage-exceeding accounts cannot receive email or upload files; organizations lose custom domains and sub-users are restricted; Proton may delete accounts after 12 months in that state; paying or reducing usage ends the state.
