- Extended Support may be available for certain Oracle program releases after Premier Support expires; the customer must continue to pay Software Update License & Support and purchase Extended Support (Technical Support Policies, 17 August 2026, section 4).
- Commercial rules
- Price list notes (15 September 2026): Extended Support fee is 10% of the current year Software Update License & Support fee in year 6 after release and 20% in years 7 and 8. Waivers are listed per product in the Technical Support Policies (for example Java SE 8 to December 2030, Java SE 11 to January 2032, Java SE 17 from October 2026 to September 2029). Extended Support must be bought for all licenses of a version release if bought for any.
