- Definition
- Licensing Policy: "Runtime is an execution slot an unattended robot can use to execute an automation. A machine (physical or virtual) has a runtime capacity equal to the maximum number of unattended robots that can execute simultaneously on that machine."
- Counting rules
- Runtimes are allocated to tenants and assigned to machine objects (standard machine or machine template). While a host machine is connected to Orchestrator it consumes the runtimes of its machine object from the tenant pool; on disconnect they return. A template with N runtimes reserves N runtimes for each machine connected with its key. The number of robots defined on a machine does not depend on runtimes. Foreground processes still run one at a time.
- Floors / minimums
- None. UiPath recommends that the number of machines match the number of runtimes.
