- Segment documentation: MTU stands for "monthly tracked user". "Segment counts the number of unique userIds, and then adds the number of unique anonymousIds that were not associated with a userId during the billing period."
- Counting rules
- Counted over all calls from all sources in the workspace in a billing month; each user counts once per month however many actions or sources. Anonymous visitors who never log in count separately per anonymousId. Cloud event sources can add MTUs; Reverse ETL extraction does not count unless sent through the Segment Connections destination; events blocked by a Tracking Plan do not count.
