- Cloud Subscription Agreement section 1: an employee of Customer or a Customer Affiliate, an employee of Customer's third-party agents, advisors and contractors, or a third-party user permitted under the Embedded Solutions clause, who was given access credentials by Customer. The Application License Agreement defines it as solely Customer's employees, Affiliates and third-party agents, advisors and contractors who are not ThoughtSpot competitors and hold unique credentials.

- Counted by named credential. Credentials may not be shared with anyone other than the individual to whom they were assigned (Cloud Subscription Agreement section 3.4(f)). Contractors and affiliates' employees count when they are given credentials. Per-edition ceilings apply (see Max number of users).
