- Sentinel RMS documentation: the user limit (hard limit) specifies the number of tokens (instances) a license can have; for a network license it is the number of concurrent instances.
- Counting rules
- A request is denied when no token is free; a token is freed when a running instance exits. For standalone licenses the hard limit caps the number of licensed Features used concurrently.

- Hard limit up to 2,097,150 for version 11 or later licenses; up to 4,294,967,294 from RMS v9.5 for license version 20 and above.
