- Help Center: a licence for software using Steinberg Licensing can be activated through Steinberg Activation Manager on up to three computers. Each activation identifies the computer by a hardware identification key; the licence belongs to the Steinberg ID, not to a device.
- Counting rules
- Count the computers on which the licence is currently activated in the Steinberg Activation Manager or under Licensed Devices in MySteinberg. A single-user licence allows three at once, but for one person and not for simultaneous use. To use a fourth computer, release one activation first. A significantly changed computer can appear as a new computer and use another activation.

- Three activations per single-user licence. Multi-user seats allow one computer per seat.
