- Licensing Guide: "A “User” of the M365 Service means the individual or individuals authorized by Customer to use Customer’s Microsoft 365 applications and whose Microsoft 365 data is backed up using M365 Service."
- Counting rules
- The count of Users is the greater of protected user mailboxes and protected OneDrives. Shared and group mailboxes are not counted as Users but their capacity counts toward Data Protection Capacity. A User is managed if a restore point exists in the past 31 days; after a continuous month without backup the licence may be applied to another User.
