- "NUS is priced per TiB of usable capacity available to clients and applications." (NUS datasheet.) "Nutanix Unified Storage is licensed per usable TiB." (Software Options.) The License and Services Agreement lists "used tebibytes" among Usage Capacity metrics (§1.24).
- Counting rules
- License the usable capacity consumed. Capacity tiered to the cloud or another objects cluster is licensed at the source. For replication, NUS licenses are required on both source and target clusters, covering consumed capacity at each site (Software Options note 3). NUS Advanced Replication and Security add-ons are also per usable TiB.
- Floors / minimums
- 1 TiB of NUS Pro per NCI cluster is included at no cost with NCI (NCI datasheet). NUS Files archive option only with >500TiB per cluster (Software Options).
