- Definition
- The Software is licensed "(a) independently of hardware nodes, portable between hardware nodes and for a fixed Subscription Term (a "Term Based License"); or (b) for use solely on the hardware node on which it was initially installed and supplied for the life of that hardware node (a "Life of Device License")" (License and Services Agreement, October 2024, §2.1).
- Commercial rules
- Licenses expire when the Subscription Term ends. Subscriptions "will automatically renew for a term equal to the previous Subscription Term" unless cancelled with 90 days written notice; late renewal incurs "backdated fees ... calculated from the end of preceding Subscription Term" (§13.2). NCI, NCM, NCI-Edge and NCI-VDI SKUs are configurable for 6–60 months (datasheets).
