- Definition
- EULA s.3.3: with a Floating license you may install copies on any Computing Device within your internal computer network or on dedicated server resources provided by a third party, provided the number of users or Computing Devices using the Software at the same time does not exceed the licences obtained and users are located within the designated area (single site, regional or worldwide).
- Counting rules
- Counted on simultaneous use: users or Computing Devices accessing the Software at the same time, or copies executing at the same time. The licence is held on a license server and checked out by clients; the licence file states whether it is single-site, single-region or worldwide. "Use Area" means a fifty (50) mile radius from, and within the same time zone as, the licensee's geographical site.
- Floors / minimums
- Each floating licence count serves one user at a time. Perpetual means the right to use indefinitely; floating licences may also be renewed on a cycle (89600 VSA: every 550 days).
