- Definition
- GitLab Credits and usage billing: "GitLab Credits are the standardized consumption currency for usage-based billing."
- Counting rules
- Each usage action of GitLab Duo Agent Platform and some non-agentic features (GitLab Secrets Manager, hosted runners for GitLab Dedicated) consumes credits. Model calls are converted with per-model multipliers (for example 8 calls per credit for basic models); some features have a flat price per execution. Usage is billed at the root namespace or top-level group and attributed to the human or non-human subject that acts. Order of use: included credits, temporary evaluation credits, monthly commitment pool, then on-demand credits.
- Floors / minimums
- Included credits (promotional): 12 per user per month on Premium, 24 on Ultimate. On-demand usage for Free namespaces is capped at $25,000 per calendar month.
