- Definition
- NetBackup Product Specific Terms s.10(p): "the total aggregate amount of data from Clients or Devices for which the Software is used or is capable of being used to provide backup functionality (including, for clarity, storing and restoring), corresponding to the largest Restorable aggregate full (or synthetic full) backup of all such data assuming fully Restored."
- Counting rules
- Partial terabytes round up to the next whole terabyte; 1 TB = 1,024 GB. Duplicate copies and expired or deleted data no longer capable of being restored are not Restorable. nbdeployutil / NetBackup Deployment Insights measures FETB per client and policy from accurate licensing data or image headers, counting only the first copy, over the last 90 days of full and user-directed backups. The June 2026 definition replaced the 26 November 2025 wording ("as actually measured by the Software").
