- Concurrent license is not tied to a specific userID, Active Directory account, or a domain. Concurrent licensing is based on the originating endpoint deviceID. You start a product that requests a license and it is checked out to a unique endpoint deviceID. If you log off or disconnect from the session, the license is checked in and made available for a new user. Note, we don’t license per session. Citrix FAQ: concurrent licenses allow one connection to an unlimited number of virtual apps and desktops for any user and any device; a license is consumed only during an active session.
- Counting rules
- Checked out to a unique originating endpoint deviceID. A user or endpoint device may connect to multiple sessions and use a single license. We don’t license per session. Logoff or disconnect checks the license in. DaaS Concurrent User: Citrix Cloud assigns a license when a user launches an app or desktop on their device and counts unique devices accessing the service simultaneously; licenses release on logoff or disconnect. Concurrent licenses do not contain the 10% overdraft feature. 15-day License burst mode applies to on-prem CVAD Concurrent (not LAS). Cloud: Citrix does not prevent launches if usage exceeds purchased licenses. There is no conversion from Concurrent to User/device. LAS migration sets a CVAD site to Premium and Concurrent as site configuration; that is not a published entitlement conversion.

- No 10% overdraft. 15-day License burst mode for on-prem CVAD Concurrent (not LAS). Cloud does not block overuse. Citrix Virtual Apps is Concurrent only (Web Studio).
