- License burst mode enables unlimited connections to a product for 15 consecutive days for Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops licenses (XenApp/XenDesktop 7.6 and above). If all licenses are in use, including overdraft where applicable, burst mode gives time to purchase more licenses without disrupting users. After burst expires, normal connection limits are enforced; existing sessions are not disconnected, but new connections that would exceed installed licenses are blocked. Burst is not automatically re-enabled; installing another retail license grants a new 15-day burst if limits are exceeded again. Not applicable for LAS-activated License Server. Offered as a convenience, not as a license entitlement. Concurrent has burst but no overdraft; User/device, User, Device have both.
