- Definition
- Solver Unit Draw: "The Solver HPC license draws units on a per-CPU core basis. The unit draw is determined by the total number of cores for a solver according to a lookup table."
- Counting rules
- Applies when a solver is not started from inside an Altair GUI and a SolverHPC feature is present. The first 1-4 cores draw 30 units in total, cores 5-36 add 1.60 each, 37-70 0.80, 71-200 0.60, falling to 0.04 above 10,000. Each license feature follows its own core count and the draw stacks. OptiStruct optimization, HyperSpice and MotionSolve multiply the per-core draw by 1.5. A GPU card counts as four cores (16 for EDEM).
