- Definition
- Global Licensing: "Global licensing restricts client usage to the appropriately licensed Global Zone. There are three Global Zones defined by Altair." GlobalZoneAM, GlobalZoneEU and GlobalZoneAP allow use in the American, European and Asia Pacific zones.
- Counting rules
- A client checks out the GlobalZone feature for the zone where it runs, in the same quantity (x1000) as its unit draw, from the same server as the HyperWorks and application features. Zones are defined by local time offset: AM GMT-12 to GMT, EU GMT to GMT+4, AP GMT+4 to GMT+12. Several solvers run in batch mode skip the GlobalZone checkout. Feature-based products check out one GlobalZone feature.
- Floors / minimums
- Multi-zone licensing is only available to qualified customers; the Simulation SLA applies a premium when Licensed Computers in several zones connect to one license server.
- Applies to products
- All Altair Units and feature-based products served by a network license server
