- Network transfer usage and costs: outbound transfer from Linodes and NodeBalancers to destinations outside the origin data center, and outbound transfer from Object Storage, is metered; "Any transfer usage that exceeds your monthly allotment is billed based on the service region".
- Counting rules
- Allowances are prorated by hours active and pooled per account (global pool, or a region-specific pool in some newer data centers). Inbound transfer and private VLAN and VPC traffic are free. Object Storage adds 1 TB to the global pool. North American overage is US$0.005 per GB.

- Bundled allowance of 0 to 20 TB per plan on older plans; none on G8 and GPU plans.
