- Unit-of-Measure Million Requests; Usage Commitment
- Definition
- Service Descriptions (API Security): "Usage is measured based on the number of API requests processed." Billing Terms define a Request separately for data-lookup services.
- Counting rules
- Measured monthly and reset at the start of each month. Non-API traffic filtered out by the traffic integrations does not count. Sustained usage above the commitment may lead Akamai to stop monitoring or to sample; usage above 150% for three consecutive months, or any three months in a rolling 12-month period, lets Akamai raise the Usage Commitment.
