- Licensing Policy: "Device" means a single hardware system with an operating environment either physical or virtual; a Windows or Linux operating system is considered a single device even if several operating systems are installed on one hardware unit.
- Counting rules
- One licence per protected device, whether or not the software is installed (bootable media use counts). Each node of a cluster must be licensed. Licences are non-transferable except to a replacement machine when the original becomes non-functioning or obsolete and is taken out of service. The EULA allows one licence per physical machine or virtual environment unless the Licensing Policy says otherwise.
