Brand Studio and Stable Audio are the two Stability AI applications that sell recurring subscriptions with a monthly credit allowance. Both sit under the Terms of Service, which list Brand Studio and Stable Audio by name among the Services.[1] A third application, Stable Assistant, was withdrawn on 1 October 2026.[2]
Editions
Brand Studio
| Plan | Monthly price | Monthly credits | Seats |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free trial | Free | 500, one-time | 1 |
| Creator | USD 19 | 2,000 | 1 |
| Core | USD 50 | 6,000 | 1 |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom bundle | Unlimited |
These figures come from the plan overview.[3] The overview says the trial ends once all 500 credits are consumed, that Creator and Core credits are replenished each billing cycle and do not roll over, and that both paid plans can buy additional credit bundles.[3] Core adds Curated Model Routing, which automatically selects a model for the use case.[3] The billing FAQ states that Core subscribers moved from 5,000 to 6,000 credits a month at the same USD 50 price, so a contract or a budget that cites 5,000 credits is out of date.[4] Enterprise adds Brand Central, Producer Mode, single sign-on and project-level access controls, plus premium support.[3] Brand Central is described as the hub for Brand ID models (custom models trained on a brand identity) and Campaigns; Enterprise teams can train a Brand ID model with a self-service feature or with Stability AI’s applied research team.[5] The launch announcement lists Core and Enterprise as the two plans on offer, while the knowledge base also lists Creator and a trial.[5]
Catalog rows: Brand Studio Free trial, Brand Studio Creator, Brand Studio Core and Brand Studio Enterprise.
Stable Audio
| Tier | Monthly price | Monthly credits |
|---|---|---|
| Creator | USD 12 | 660 |
| Pro | USD 30 | 1,800 |
| Studio | USD 90 | 6,000 |
| Max | USD 199 | 14,000 |
Every new account receives 50 free credits, and the tiers were updated to align with multi-track and stem generation.[6] Catalog rows: Stable Audio Creator, Stable Audio Pro, Stable Audio Studio and Stable Audio Max. Subscribers who signed up before August 2026 keep access to the legacy single-track generator and library, with credits mapped from their old price: USD 11.99 a month became 660 credits, USD 29.99 became 1,800 and USD 89.99 became 6,000. Legacy plans are no longer sold or changeable.[7]
Metrics
Brand Studio credit and seat. Credits are the consumption unit and seats the user count. Enterprise has unlimited seats and a custom credit bundle.[3] A user who runs out of credits on a paid plan can buy a top-up from the dashboard, and a trial user is prompted to upgrade.[4]
Stable Audio credit. Because several tracks can be generated at once, a generation consumes credits according to the number of tracks and the process used, so there is no single price per track.[6]
Counting / floors
Expiry. Brand Studio monthly credits reset at the start of each billing cycle and unused credits expire at its end.[4] Stable Audio subscription credits renew each cycle and do not roll over, while purchased top-up packs never expire.[6] The Terms add a one-year expiry for service credits issued on or after their effective date, unless otherwise specified.[1] Where the two documents differ, the specific plan page is the more specific statement, but the Terms control as the contract.
Renewal and cancellation. Paid subscriptions renew automatically on each periodic date until cancelled, and fee changes follow advance notice.[1] Brand Studio runs on a monthly subscription and refunds for cancellations are generally not issued.[8] Service credits are non-refundable under the Terms.[1]
Seats. Account sharing is prohibited and the account holder is responsible for activity, including by end users reaching the Services through the account.[1] Enterprise customers with SSO can define project access by role.[5] For a team larger than one person on Creator or Core, the plan pages list one seat, so more users need Enterprise or separate accounts, and the latter risks breaching the no-sharing rule.
Virtualization & partitioning
Not applicable to hosted subscriptions. Stable Audio 3.0 Small and Medium can also be self-hosted as Core Models under the Community License, and the knowledge base says self-hosted models are governed by the licence applicable to the particular model, not by the Stable Audio subscription.[9] See Stability AI Community and Enterprise licence.
Cloud / BYOL
Not applicable beyond the self-hosting note above. The Solutions offering can be deployed on-premises, through secure API endpoints or in web applications, and is also available through WPP Open.[10]
Programs
Stability AI Solutions. Launched on 5 August 2025 for marketing, advertising and design, with named solutions for product photography, brand style, product concepting and design, and digital twins that train custom models on IP or likenesses where usage rights are licensed by the IP owner.[10] The announcement lists indemnification, compliance and dedicated support as built-in features but the terms are negotiated (Stability AI Solutions).
Commercial use of Stable Audio output. Commercial use is permitted on every plan, including the free plan and pay-as-you-go API use, subject to the Terms and Acceptable Use Policy. Examples given include monetised videos, advertising, podcasts, embedded audio in apps and games, and standalone distribution as tracks, stock music, sound libraries or sample packs. The customer is responsible for ensuring that use does not violate anyone else’s rights, and contractual indemnification requires an Enterprise agreement.[9] The Stable Audio 2.5 announcement adds that the Terms require uploads to be free of copyrighted material.[11]
Stable Audio 3.0 and indemnification. The Stable Audio 3.0 announcement states that legal indemnification is offered under the Enterprise licence.[12]
Stable Assistant sunset. Stable Assistant was sunset on 1 October 2026. Month-to-month subscribers were refunded for remaining time minus credit consumption in the last period, and annual subscribers were refunded the remainder.[2] Its credits were never usable in other products.[13]
Contract terms
The Terms set minimum ages: 13 for audio services, with parental permission for under-18s, and 18 for other Services.[1] Users own outputs to the extent permitted by law.[1] Content credentials (C2PA manifests) are embedded in image, video and audio outputs from the APIs and first-party products, and Stability AI says it does not apply visible or invisible watermarks; the Terms prohibit intentionally removing content credentials.[14] Audio and image restrictions are in Stability AI Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.
Audits and compliance
There is no audit clause for subscriptions. The risks for an organisation are shadow accounts using personal email addresses, which the Terms say may be linked to an employer’s enterprise account when the email domain belongs to the organisation,[1] credits that lapse unused, and auto-renewing plans. Track the plan, renewal date, seat holder and credit expiry for each account.
